Filippo Calcerano

Filippo Calcerano is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Heritage Science (ISPC-CNR), specializing in building performance, microclimate simulations, interoperability, and Heritage-BIM. He is a member of IBPSA, SITdA, and a reviewer for leading journals in the field. His work bridges knowledge gaps across disciplines to develop sustainable digital workflows in the AEC sector, particularly for cultural heritage. He has contributed to EU and international projects, including collaborations with China. His research focuses on integrating environmental design into heritage conservation through advanced IT and simulation tools.

    This international workshop, funded by the DARIAH Working Group Activities 2023-2025 programme, was organised by the CNR Institute of Heritage Science with the Cyprus Institute and the University of Catania, supported by the Municipality of Poggioreale. It addressed digital methods for conserving and reusing tangible and intangible construction heritage, highlighting Heritage Building Information Modelling for data acquisition, interoperability, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
