Stefano Cursi

Stefano Cursi is a Licensed Architectural Engineer with a Ph.D. from Sapienza University of Rome, currently a Research Fellow at the Institute of Heritage Science (ISPC) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). He has authored numerous international scientific publications and received the “eCAADe grant for young researcher” in 2013. His research focuses on ontology-based systems for built heritage, BIM technologies, and AI-driven digital solutions for AEC industries. He has contributed to major projects such as IDEHA and BHIMM, aimed at heritage data management and modeling.

    This international workshop, funded by the DARIAH Working Group Activities 2023-2025 programme, was organised by the CNR Institute of Heritage Science with the Cyprus Institute and the University of Catania, supported by the Municipality of Poggioreale. It addressed digital methods for conserving and reusing tangible and intangible construction heritage, highlighting Heritage Building Information Modelling for data acquisition, interoperability, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
