Birgit Tremml-Werner

Birgit Tremml-Werner is a reader and senior lecturer in global history at Stockholm University. She received her PhD from the University of Vienna in 2012 with a dissertation about cross-cultural contacts in early modern Manila. She previously held various research position, among others as JSPS postoc at Tokyo University (2013-2015), as HERA research associate at the University of Zürich (2016-2019) and as researcher and MSCA fellow at Linnaeus University (2021-2023)
